Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a plunge pool cost?

The price of a plunge pool can vary depending on the specifics of your Adelaide backyard. Elements such as soil conditions, site access, and property restrictions all play a role in determining the final installation cost. On average, our plunge pools begin at $40,000 and up, with an exact quote provided following a thorough site inspection to assess your property’s needs.

What pool shapes do you offer?

We offer a variety of options, including both custom-designed and precast concrete plunge pools. Custom pools give you the flexibility to create a design that perfectly suits your space and style, while our precast pools provide a quicker solution with streamlined installation in just a few days. Get in touch with us to discuss the ideal size and shape for your backyard!

Can I install an above-ground plunge pool?

Yes, our pools can be installed fully above ground, partially in-ground, or fully in-ground—whatever suits your space and vision.

Is a fence required around an above-ground pool?

For above-ground pools installed at least 1.2m off the ground, the pool’s external wall may serve as part of the required safety barrier. However, regulations still mandate a secure entry fence and fencing around components like the skimmer box to ensure compliance and safety. Always check local regulations to ensure your pool meets safety standards.

How often should I change the water in my plunge pool?

Generally, we recommend draining the water every three years. Regular water checks at your local pool store will help ensure it stays balanced and safe for your family.

How long should the pump run each day?

For optimal water quality, we recommend running your pump for about 1.8 hours each day.

Do you offer magnesium options?

Yes, we include magnesium mineral systems as part of our standard packages.*

What should I consider before buying a plunge pool?

Before investing in a plunge pool, evaluate your backyard’s layout and available space to decide on the best location. Plunge pools come in different shapes and sizes, so consider whether a rectangular, square, or custom design suits your preferences and outdoor area. Additionally, think about the surrounding space—such as decking, landscaping, or patio features—to create a cohesive and functional backyard retreat. Planning these elements ensures your plunge pool complements your outdoor lifestyle perfectly.

Will I need a crane for installation?

In many cases, we can lift the pool into place with our crane truck. To do this, the truck usually needs to be within one meter of the installation location.

What’s the best surface for my pool base?

To ensure the integrity of your plunge pool, the base should be 100mm thick, level, and properly compacted. An unlevel base may cause the pool to crack, which is not covered under warranty.

Can you install pool heating?

Yes, we recommend electric heat pumps as an efficient way to keep your plunge pool at a comfortable temperature.

Can I fill my pool with tank water?

Yes, our plunge pools are designed to be filled with tank water if desired.

What chemical system is best for a plunge pool?

We offer two options: a natural magnesium system, or Crystal Waters, which is free from chlorine, bromine, and odors. Both are effective at maintaining clean, healthy water. Contact us for more information.
